Photo from NASA Great Lakes. It was a wild and wacky weekend for the CMC gang at Mid-Ohio this last weekend. Traditionally, the late season Mid-O race draws a big turnout as it is a tune up for upcoming national races in September. This year was no exception, with both race groups being sold out, and drivers actually showing up to get on a waiting list Friday evening.   7 August 2016, South Haven Michigan, The NASA Great Lakes “Summer Camp” at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven Michigan was for me, a typical summer camp.  Some drama.  Some comfort food (Saturday night pig roast!).  Some pesky counselors (Damn those flag stations!).  A (rediscovered) love.  And a ton of good times.  Camp started with a pole and a win, which was quickly taken away with a DQ for non-compliance on the dyno (over by 4HP).  That chain of events led to a long night of recertification, self-recriminations, and a ton of support from competitors, officials, and friends around the...

    27 June 2016 After a short break, the NASA Great Lakes region kicked off the ‘summer season’ June 25-26 at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven Michigan. I always look forward to racing at ‘G-man’ as it is a beautiful area that allows for some very close racing, and there has always been a great vibe around the paddock.
