Kent Owens Continues to Dominate at Road America!

24 May, 2016 Story: Kent OwensPhoto credit Peggy Linneman There’s a reason that Road America is one of my favorite tracks. Not only is it my home track, but it has also been the site of some great races for the CMC gang, and this last weekend was no exception. Usually we run in the Thunder group, making us the slowest class in a very fast race group. The last few years at RA we’ve been moved to Lightning to balance out the groups, and I have to say that being the fastest class in the race group makes...

Another Win for NEO Motorsport Ambassador Kent Owens at NASA Great Lake Region Mid-Ohio Race! 25 April, 2016 Story: Kent OwensPhoto credit Peggy Linneman Our third NASA Great Lakes region event at Mid-Ohio was “interesting” for the #30 CMC Trans Am (sporting an “X” per timing and scoring). I’ve developed an extreme love/hate relationship with Mid-O over the years, as I love racing there, but have suffered a couple of DQ’s, (as well as a couple of cracked ribs), a number of mechanical problems, and the weather can sometimes be a challenge. After putting it on the pole for Saturday’s race...

Through a combination of events (I’d like to think superior equipment and highly tuned skills……☺), the #30 managed to sweep all three races. The real story is that while the equipment may have been superior (thanks NEO Motorsports...

For immediate release—22 March, 2016by: Kent Owens It was a great opening weekend for the 2016 NASA Great Lakes season at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green Kentucky. Many of the race groups had full fields, including the CMC gang, and everyone was anxious to get the first laps of the season under their belts. The #30 CMC Trans Am managed to squeak out two wins, and I mean squeak, as in CMC the top three were bumper to door for the entire weekend with the winning margin less than 1 second in both races. Bob Denton in the #67...
